Welcome to Old West Attitude. We started this website to give back just a little bit to the Western Music Performers and Cowboy Poets that have given us so much pleasure in the last several years. The history of the west is fascinating and the music and poetry that is part of that history is phenominal. We hope you will give a listen to some of these wonderful musicians and poets. Please check out our featured performer below. Featured Performer - John Bergstrom
Welcome to our featured artist's area. Here we feature different artists on a monthly basis. This month's featured performer is John Bergstrom from Southern California
“Born and raised in the L.A. area” doesn’t usually sound like the opening line for a cowboy singer. That is, however, where John Bergstrom got his start. You can almost smell the campfire as he spins his ballads about life, heroes and bad guys in the west. John is a regular at the Autry National Center and western events around Southern California. A singer/song writer of western songs, his first CD, "Western State of Mind" has been receiving attention in several countries. His latest CD, “Throw Down the Box,” has been received with enthusiasm by his fans. His ballad, “Tiburcio Vasquez,” was featured at the California Institute of the Arts and his tale about the “St. Francis Dam,” was on Santa Clarita Television as a video. His latest CDs, are available on CDBaby.com and at Outwest Marketing.com You can get a taste of his music at MySpace and at his his website www.Johnbergstrom.net

'Tombstone'
John says, ten years ago, I rediscovered the music and inspirations of my childhood; western life and the cowboy way. After my first few solo performances, folks were saying, "You can almost smell the campfire."
My ballads about life, heroes and bad guys in the west seemed to hit a responsive chord with many people. For the last several years, I have been a regular at the Autry National Center and western events around Southern California. I now have two CDs out and a third one, "Ghosts and Legends" should be in my hands by the end of January, 2011. You can get a taste of my music by going to
